Last night, a living legend took the stage at Jimmy Kimmel Live! and served as a reminder of what a true great sounds like. Bonnie Raitt strutted out into the Southern California heat with a confident smirk on her face in response to a cheering crowd that ranged in age from early twenties to their sixties. From the second she started shredding on the electric guitar, the listener was transformed to a time when true musicianship was everything. This was Bonnie's world, and we were just lucky to be in it. Her voice has only gotten better over the years with that signature rasp, and her stage presence is humbling to witness.
Oh, and she's still drop dead gorgeous.
All others, check out the above beautiful live version of "Can't Find My Way Home" with Lowell George, John Hammond Jr and Freebo from 1972. It will start your day off right.
